Currently publicly listed holding Linas Agro Group, AB has 20 Subsidiaries, 5 Joint Ventures and 1 Associate that are located in Lithuania, Latvia, Ukraine and Denmark. The companies of the holding are engaged in agricultural commodities trading, agricultural supplies, farming and processing of agricultural products.
Partner Giedrius Kolesnikovas comments that this cross-border transaction was complex due to regulatory requirements of Ukrainian law regarding transfer of shares and complexity of agreements between the parties. Linas Agro Group had to obtain antimonopoly clearance for which assitance from the local counsel was involved.
