Western detour of Vilnius is among the priority projects of the transport infrastructure in the capital of Lithuania, which will be connected with the international IXB Trans-European Transport Network. The implementation of the project will provide to Lithuania modern and comfortable transport roads with other countries of the European Union. In the long-term strategy of the Lithuanian transport system development (until 2025) it is foressen to implemet the PPP model in financing the transport infrastructure. It should be noted that implementation of PPP model is defined as fundamental in the documents of the transport politics of the European Union and in the projects of the Trans-European Transport Network. Active practice of PPP model shall accelerate development of the Lithuanian transport infrastructure.
